A Spring arrives, the snow melts, and the flowers begin to bloom, i find it only best to pick-up my blog from where I've left off. In the past months since I've written much has happened. Though what I find to be the most time consuming is the world of art and its place in my life recently. I know I have said before how much I hate the Berkshire area, but is there ever talent in this area. I guess first off I'll discuss one of the most honorable events I believe to have ever taken place in my life, being in The 25th Annual Berkshire County High School Art Show at The Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge. This event happened in February, however it was really honorable to have my art displayed at such a prestigious museum like this. My best friend too was in this art show, in fact she had an entire article written about her the Berkshire Eagle. I've known forever that Daphne is going to be an amazing artist one day. I'll post a link to the article below. If you look at it the I'm right in front of the header photo. Art has really become a major part of my life in the past year. I feel as though it has helped me to see things in a different light, to look at things from more angles which helps me as a writer. Though I know writing plays a large part in my own art. I always have a story behind my piece. I'm not much of a fan in working in 2D, I much prefer sculpture, it's easier for me to get the full emotions I am looking for across. It's almost like adding adjectives, all rich in sensory detail, to a story. Currently I am working on a piece titled The I of the Beholder. This piece has the major themes of "what is beauty?" along with "loss of innocence's". Both themes are the result of some form of bullying or hurt. I'll have more to come on this project when it is done, I'll most likely devote an article to it. I believe this concludes my intro to my story of art, I will conclude in a short time.
